Wheaton Franciscan - St. Joseph Campus is seeking a Supervisor for Sterile Processing.  This position provides direction and training for Sterile Processing Technicians to supply the hospital with clean patient equipment, sterile surgical and non-surgical instruments,  & appropriate surgical & medical case carts.  Maintains a safe working environment consistent in accordance with OSHA, CDC, FDA and AAMI recommendations. The Sterile Processing Supervisor competency level is that of an expert in decontamination principles, instrument inspection/assembly, sterlization, case cart assembly and inventory management.Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience, strong  communication skills to effectively interact with other leaders, associates in the surgical services department, vendors and physicians.  Demonstrated ability with team building and ability to manage complex situations is required.  CRCST or equivalent certification within 18 months of hire IAHCSMM or comparable organization is required.
